It is the heart of the resort: Belona Beach holds 4.2 on Google from more than 8,300 reviews, and the promenade 4.1 from more than 1,500.
About the place
The Eforie Nord beach is about 3 km long, and in the north of the resort it is backed by a cliff more than 30 m high. The promenade follows Tudor Vladimirescu Street, with steps down to the sand, and passes Hotel Belona and the statue 'Fata cu floarea' ('Girl with a Flower', 1964), a listed monument near the former Neon complex. At Debarcader Beach a jetty runs out into the sea and gives a view back to the cliff.
To the south the promenade reaches the Belona marina, with boats and restaurants, and Lake Belona lies behind the beach. In summer the beaches have sunbeds and bars; Belona and Debarcader beaches have the most Google reviews. Out of season the promenade is quiet and good for long walks.
